- What is modelinghub.com?

At Modeling·HUB we host our model portfolios. This site bridges the gap between models/ talents and our clients. Using our state-of-the-art technology, we provide an unparalleled database of models/ talents to our wide network of Casting Directors and other industry decision makers. Each model member has their own personal Web page online, complete with up-to-date details and photographs. All of the models on this site can only be contacted through Orange Model Management Inc. 


- How can I become a member of modelinghub?

If you are a client, please fill out the client registration link and we will notify you via email as soon
as we have had a chance to review your information. If you are interested in becoming a model please visit our website http://www.orangemodels.ca

- How do I clear browser cache?

To clear browser cache simply empty cookies and temporary files, follow these steps:

For Internet Explorer 5.5+ User:  

Click Internet Options on the Tools menu Ensure the General tab is selected, which is the default, then click the Delete Files and then Delete Cookies  

For Netscape 6.0+ User:  

Click Cookies Manager on the Tools menu, then click on Manage Stored Cookies Click on Remove all Cookies Also Click on the Edit menu, then click on Preference On the Category option, select Advance then Cache Click Clear Cache

It is recommended to change the cache number to 50 MB.


- How do I disable popup block?

For Internet Explore 5.0+:

Go to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/web/sp2_popupblocker.mspx  


For Netscape 6.0+:


Form the tools bar, click Tools

Select Popup Manager

Select Allow Popups From This Site

 


- What are the basic system requirements?

We test with, and therefore require, that you use one of the latest versions of either Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox 2. PC: Use IE 5.5+, on windows XP / ME and IE 6.0 make sure the security settings are not set to maximum, this will cause problems with ModelingHub.
 
For PCs:

  - Microsoft Internet Explorer 6

  - Mozilla Firefox 2

For Macintosh: 

 - Mozilla Firefox 2 


Both Mac and PC will need Flash Player and Java Plug-in.


- What does "Remember me" mean?

When you select the Remember me check box, you don't need to enter your login name and password each time you visit the site because your web browser remembers them for you. Instead, you go directly to the home page for the site.

To turn your "Remember" setting on, click the Remember me check box. When you're done using the site, don't click the Logout button. Instead, just close your web browser or surf to another website.

To turn your "Remember" setting off, click Logout at the upper-left of your site.


- I forgot my password how can I retrieve it?

Please click the option "Lost Password?" under the "Login" tab and provide your username and email address. This is an automated service, you would recieve a new password via email.

- How do I get started using the site as a client?

Please verify the information you have received in account setup email, get acquainted with all the features of website. As a client can browse through our roster, search a perfect match for your requirement, but you cannot add, delete or modify any information. As a client you either browse through our complete roster using the "Browse All Models" option or conduct a specific search using the "Search Models" option.

 


- How can I change my password?

- While using the "Browse all models" option I see some model profiles that are totally empty without any image or data, what does this mean?

Please ignore those accounts as this option previews all active models even if an account is just recently setup it would show those accounts as well. 


- How can I get to see more photos of a model and their resume?

- How can I search for a specific model on the basis of age, height or weight etc?

Please login to your account and click "Search Models" and then click "Advanced" from this page you can filter models on the basis of what you are looking for. 


- How can I check if a Model is available for a job?

- Where do I get started?

Welcome to our portfolio hosting site. We suggest you to go through the FAQ's as soon as possible, they would help you in making your learning process a lot easy. We would also like to mention that if you don't update your profiles, photos and your resume with in the first 2 weeks from the day your account is created your account would be suspend. - How do I fill out my profile?

To fill out your and ‘profile’ simply go to the 'Edit' button above your name on your profile page and choose the option 'Edit your profile'. Fill out your profile and click the orange ‘update’ button located at the bottom of the page to save your changes.


- How do I fill out my profile?

- What kind of photos can I use for my portfolio? 

This is a professional site designed to promote OMMI's roster as a model you can only upload professional photo's, please do not upload photos with family, friends or any party photos.  Also please do not upload nude photos to your profile; this can result in account suspension.
 


- How do I upload my main profile picture?

To upload your main profile picture click on the 'Edit' button above your name on your profile page and choose the option 'upload your picture'. From there upload your best/favorite picture.    


- How do I upload pictures to my "Gallery"?

To upload pictures to your 'Gallery', go to your profile page and click on the "Gallery' tab under your main picture. From there click on the 'Submit New Gallery Entry' and one by one choose your best 10 pictures. 


- How do I change the short greeting in my Gallery?

To create/change the short greeting for your Gallery simply go to the 'Edit' button above your name on your profile page and choose the option 'Edit your profile'. From there choose the 'Gallery' tab and fill out the 'Short Greeting' option. Save your new short greeting by clicking on the orange ‘update’ button.


- How do I update my resume?

To update your resume simply go to the 'Edit' on your profile page and choose the option 'Edit your profile' and then click the resume tab. Paste your resume and save your changes.

 


- How to I create my resume? From where can I download a resume template?

Just save the PDF file to your computer and fill in the required information.


 

- How do I change my password?

Login to your account and from the edit menu click "edit user profile" on your profile page you can change your password.


- How important is it to update my profile, resume and photos?

It is very important to update your profile, resume and photos firstly this would save your account from being suspended and the most important thing is that when our clients would conduct a model search they would see your profile.


- I don't have any experience in this field what should I write in my resume?

Don't worry we all start from somewhere one, please fill out what ever you can following our standard resume template it will make your profile look professional. You can download the template from the following link.

 


- How can I use my profile URL?

Your profile URL link is basically your personal webpage. If you copy that link and paste it into your browser it opens up into your personal four page website, which has your profile, resume and a photo gallery. You can use this link if you want to show your profile to friends, family and clients.

 


- I am unable to upload an image due to the size. How do I resize my the image?

There are many different programes which can resize an image you can search the internet to get the program which is compatible with your Operating system. A few suggestions from us are as follows,

1) Picasa by google (You can download it from: http://picasa.google.com)

2) Adobe CS3 (You can download it from: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/index.html)

3) FotoFinish

(You can download it from: http://www.fotofinish.com/resources/centers/photo/edit/edit1.htm)

 


- Sometimes I have problem logging in or browsing the website?

Please check your password and internet connection. If your password is correct and internet is working fine and you still have problems we suggest you to change your browser from Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox as some versions of the Internet Explorer can act funny. Mozilla Firefox is free and you can can download it from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox.


- As a model can I browse through other model profiles?

No unfortunately models can only add, delete or modify their own profiles.


- I get a "file extension not authorized" error what does that mean? What image file extension are allowed?

You get this error because the image file extension you tried to upload is not allowed, JPG, GIF and TIF are some image file extensions which we had tested with our system.


- In my photogallery under each uploaded photo I have two options "delete" and "unpublish" what are those options?

Delete would completely remove the photo from the photogallery and if you would select unpublish, the photo remains on our server but is not viewable through your photo gallery. You can publish that image again when ever you want.


- What is the maximum image size I can upload?

The maximum image size you can upload is 2MB.


- When I try to upload any image to my gallery I get an error "a gallery item title must be entered" is this an error or something manditory?

When ever you upload an image it is manditory to select a title for each image.


- Is it manditory to have a description for each image I upload to my gallery?

No the description is not manditory but it is nice to have a few words for each image.


- I have uploaded a couple of images and now I get an error message "your gallery item quota has been reached. You must delete an item in order to upload a new one or you may contact the admin to increase our quota". what does that mean?

By default there is a quota of 10 photos for the image gallery and one for the profile for each model. You have already uploaded 10 images in your gallery.
